What Happens on a Food Tour…

When I tell people that I own Sioux Falls Food Tours, I get the question, “What is that?” So, I thought I would explain it a little.

Booking a tour!

By visiting our Upcoming Tours, you are able to see what tours are available. We run tours every Saturday from 1-4 pm – rain, shine or snow! Simply click on the tour that you are interested in and complete the process. We have 4 tour routes and each one starts at a brewery. If you have been on a tour previously, choose a different starting point and you will get a different tour. Whenever there is a 5th Saturday, we have a specialty tour. The example in the photo is our “Going to the Dogs” tour that we run once a year.

Cheers to Severance!

This tour was a private tour with a wonderful group of women. We started at Severance Brewing. Some participants did not want an alcoholic drink so I selected the Hoppy Lemonade for them. As for the beer, we were sampling Monster Cookie to go along with the Monster Cookies we sampled from Mary’s Mountain Cookies.

Salute to Papa Woody’s!

We headed down the boardwalk to Papa Woody’s to sample a couple of my favorite pizzas and a glass of wine! There are so many great pizzas at Papa Woody’s! One of my guests is gluten-free. We had a great option of a sweet potato crust for the pizza. It is SO good!

Our server was so much fun!
Keep moving…it’s cold!

From there we ventured on. It was a very cold and snowy day. On days like this, I will walk by places like the Levitt Shelter, point at it and then get inside where it’s warm to talk in detail about it. I also adjusted tour route to minimize time outside.

You need to try them!

To Swamp Daddy’s next for some catfish tacos. I always preface this by saying that I don’t like seafood or fish. HOWEVER, I love the catfish tacos. If you avoid fish, I challenge you to try them. Hint, take a full bite to include all of the toppings with the catfish. If you just pull out the catfish to “try” it won’t be the same experience.

A little bite of heaven

We may have had a little extra celebration with some Intoxibakes cupcakes. The mini’s are just enough…

Naughty Fries

To end our tour and wrap up close to the start, we ventured to Bread and Circus for their famous naughty fries! They did not disappoint.

So, as you see, we have a couple of stops, try some great food and a drink or two. In three hours, you will learn a little bit of Sioux Falls history, have some wonderful food and enjoy the company of some great people. If this didn’t answer all of your questions, reach out and ask. We are always happy to tell you what we do! www.sufufoodtours.com
