How did we get to the second month of 2022? February is the month of love! So, we want to show some love to one of our favorite partners – Papa Woody’s! Such a wonderful love story of how this amazing restaurant came to be.

In 2006, me and Steve took in my sisters’ four children. Three months later, we found out we were expecting our first child. A year later we had our second daughter! In two years, we went from a family of 2 to a family of 8! We became legal guardians of my sisters’ children in 2006. It was intended to be a temporary situation, but in October, 2014 my sister passed away.
When our household size changed, Steve encouraged me to finish my Master’s Degree in Business, Strategic Planning and Marketing, and he became a ‘Stay-at-Home-Dad.’ He left behind a career of over 25 years in restaurant management. Operating a restaurant from the ground up is his passion, and he exceeded at every detail of it…from running the host stand or serving a table, to cooking your dinner or garnishing your plate…but he excelled at controlling costs, ordering inventory, hiring the right people, and most importantly, Customer Service! There wasn’t a part of the restaurant he didn’t know!
Steve and Lisa are the epitome of love…opening up their home to four children and building a business that is family focused. Their menu is amazing and the food is created with love for food, family and friends.
This February their story takes a leap forward…they are moving from a small location in the Jones 421 building to a full-sized restaurant in the Cascade building. They are currently relocating and hoping to be open by February 14, 2022! I want to encourage you to show them some love and check out their new location! We are excited to see the new place and to see what changes and what stays the same!!!
